As a new resident exploring local coffee shops, I’ve found Poolhouse Coffee to be the standout. Their coffee is the best I’ve tasted; bold, smooth, and consistently excellent. The food is delicious, with fresh options that hit the spot. The service is quick, friendly, and makes you feel welcome. Poolhouse is a must-try for anyone looking for a great coffee spot!

One of my favorite stops in Medicine Hat for a coffee with friends. I love how clean the presentation and design of the space inside is. Staff are always friendly and prompt. Excellent Parking which is a big bonus for downtown!

Poolhouse Cafe & Roastery is a lovely, sleek, modern and cleanly designed cafe and bakery. They have loads of coffee and tea drinks and delicious bakery treats. The service was friendly and efficient and my drink was brought to our table. We had the mint Nanaimo bar, which was huge, but a bit too sweet and the oat bar, which was absolutely killer: gooey, crispy with oats, and rich and chocolaty. It was honestly one of the best treats I have ever had in a bakery. I would definitely come back for it. I had a matcha latte on ice as well, but there are lots of options. All in all, a trendy, clean, great local cafe, that is lovely to have a cup of coffee and a freshly baked treat at!

We've have traveled the world, exploring trendy coffee shops everywhere we go, and honestly, this is ranked as one of the most beautiful and high quality drinks anywhere we've been! The atmosphere is cozy, yet modern, with big bright windows allowing the Medicine Hat sunshine to filter through. And the cappuccinos we had were perfect! Well done, guys! Medicine Hat should be proud to have places like this in their city, and we are happy to stop in when in town to visit family :)

So straight up, I’m not a hot drink guy. I typically only ever go for blended ice drinks. But I decided to try one of the drinks on their Christmas menu, and I must say that the Nutella Mocha was the absolute BEST hot drink I’ve ever tasted!! My family has also been here a couple of times before and they are all very much drink connoisseurs, and they’ve raved about this place as well. I also like the fact that it’s very bright, lots of windows, so a very good atmosphere. Overall, it’s definitely worth the detour to downtown, even for people like us who are from out of town.

This new direction and location for one of Medicine Hats coffee shop mainstays is a 5 star experience all around. Awesome food, great coffee, and good people — all in a beautiful and carefully designed space. With attention to detail the owners have created an outstanding atmosphere that pairs perfectly with their delicious, high-quality menu (highly recommend the breakfast sandwich ). Needless to say, we’re looking forward to our next visit! Do yourself a favor, support downtown, and have a great time relaxing or recharging at the Poolhouse Cafe & Roastery.

The coffee was so good, so many options, but if you want good pour overs or americanos they have that too. The staff were so kind and upbeat, never a dumb question if you don’t understand the menu or process. The aesthetic is so clean and fun, makes you feel like you’re on holidays. Do yourself and favour and stop by.

This place is pretty much worth all the hype. So cute. The vibe in here is sooo so awesome I got a Chai frappe to go (drank most of it inside but, iykyk) it was literally amazing. My mom got a London fog and said it was insane. The eclair: she said was on par. There was someone training when we went, which is so so cool. On the job training is the best way forward. Our drinks took like a second longer but what can I say? There was jusy another badass batista in training so... it was also well air-conditioned which was nice. They have outdoor seating as well though for those who prefer sitting outside in the extreme Canadian temperatures. Bonus points: they have alternative milks. Oat and spy only though to be exact!
